As a landmark resort nears completion of its $1 billion redevelopment project, the property is set to benefit from state-of-the-art Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems, ensuring the long-term integrity and safety of this legendary landmark.
It's structural health monitoring plan uses MOVE Solutions to provide real-time data on the structural health of the property, allowing for early detection of potential issues. This proactive approach will enable the resort to address maintenance needs promptly, preventing minor problems from escalating into major concerns.
A Senior Project Engineer for the development and pioneer of Florida SHM shared, “By continuously monitoring the condition of structures, SHM will help extend the lifespan of our assets, ensuring they remain functional and safe for longer periods. And the SHM system will play a crucial role in maintaining high safety standards. With its mix of hotel accommodations, residential offerings, and marina facilities, the social harbor property will benefit from constant monitoring to ensure the well-being of guests, residents, and visitors.”
The property uses a combination of tiltmeters, accelerometers and piezometers all connected to one powerful cloud-based application where facility engineers can view real-time data analysis and receive alerts to any device 24/7/365.
